This "Church Sunday" at Newark USA, I show some pix of a small church near the Hawthorne Avenue School that I saw on "Beautiful Newark Day" III. It is outside this church that I fotograffed broken glass littering the sidewalk. Is the church inactive, that no one felt it necessary to do the Christian thing and clean up that hazardous eyesore?

I suspect this is one of those buildings that look bigger on the inside than outside. There's a GMC vehicle in this picture that doesn't look very large, and my experience suggests that all vehicles with the GMC logo on the grille are actually quite large.
The Macedonia Pentecostal Church of God (124 Clinton Place, Newark 07108-1212) seems not to have a website of its own. A Dun and Bradstreet webpage listing I did find shows a different telephone number from that shown in the sign at the church itself: (973) 399-1424. That could be a Newark number. The number on the sign is south of Essex County.

Permit me once more to express my hope that computer-savvy young people will, on their own or as an assignment for a website-design course, create a website for Newark's various small churches, on free webhosts if they can't afford to pay for webhosting. Ambitious young people could create quite a portfolio for themselves by creating websites for some of the multitudinous churches and nonprofit programs and organizations that are working to improve the lives of Newarkers. The Internet must not be for the prosperous only.
